Slideshow Presentation

Title: California Digital Library.

Created: October, 2016

Course number: 60040 Information Institutions and Professions.

Subjects: California Digital Library.
     Open access publishing.

Program learning outcome: 4. Evaluate systems and technologies relevant to a particular information context.

This slideshow presentation showcases both my creativity and my practical skills in locating and interpreting information resources. It also demonstrates an understanding of the fundamental goals and challenges of institutional repositories. Similar to my eScholarship paper, this project meets PLO 4 by evaluating the interacting systems and technologies in the context of an institutional repository and the open access publishing model.

This slideshow meets core competencies for cataloging and metadata professions by demonstrating my capacity for strong oral and written communication of complex concepts, an understanding of larger trends in information systems, and an orientation toward public service.
